Psalm 149 Dance Mission Statement

Our passion at Psalm 149 Dance is a heart of creative worship that brings glory to our Lord and Savior. We strive to open the minds and hearts of our audiences to how truly loved they are, teach them that thir art and faith can co-exist, and celebrate the beauty of God’s creation. We believe that God is worthy of our art and delights when we use our gifts to be co-creators.

I pray our ministry always demonstrates an example of unity as God brings together his people for the love of dance and purpose of praise, healing, and worship. Psalm 149 Dance will always “commit to the Lord whatever [we] do, and he will establish [our] plans” (Proverbs 16:3). We hope to reclaim the art of dance as a gift from God and share His love because it was who we were made to be.

Personal Mission Statement:

Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.” My personal goal as a dancer and follower of Christ, with and through Psalm 149 Dance ministries, is to live out Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me Strength.” I strive to live fully for God; trusting him in all areas of my life. My mission is to live out the ideas found in the book of Exodus that your talents are gifts from God that he wants you to use to glorify him. One of my favorite Bible verses is John 1:14, “the word became flesh and dwelt among us.” This is in reference to Jesus being the truth, the life, and the way. Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh, and I believe that the word of God can be expressed through the body in the same way that Jesus was the word of God.
