Angeline grew up knowing Christ, but it was not until college and her partnership at the Austin Stone Community Church that she was truly transformed by His love. In 2012 as she was graduating High School, the Lord laid dance heavily on her heart and a vision for dance ministry. She began her journey through the Dance Department at Texas State University and spent her time as an undergrad dancing, studying the word of God, and discovering all of the ways she could give her talents back to her creator. Upon earning her Bachelor’s degree in dance and English, she went against her instinct to apply for full time jobs that would insure financial security, and to instead place her future in God’s hands, trusting Him completely. Through much prayer and divine influence, she was able to start Psalm 149 Dance Ministries. Since then the Lord has blessed her and this ministry in ways far greater than she could have asked or imagined. Her prayer is for the Lord to continue to bless this ministry so that she can fully dedicate her life to serving the Lord with the passions He gave her.

Hailey was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up attending Methodist churches. She stumbled upon dance at the age of 14 when she decided to audition for her high school's dance team. Her passion for dance grew and stuck with her through her freshman year of college. While continuing a major in Biology, she decided to pursue a degree in dance at Texas State University. During her time at Texas State, she was a member of CIMTEYA, Orchesis Dance Company, Transient Dance Collective, Gamelan Lipi Awan , and danced in multiple showcases, student projects, and traveled to study dance abroad. Through these experiences she befriended several members of Psalm 149 Dance Ministries that lead her to refocus on pursuit of a relationship with Christ, and through the company has learned to use her passion for dance as a platform for worship.

Alexie is from Lockhart Texas but considers Kyle to be her second home town. She grew up attending church knowing that God had something big in store for her future. It took her till the age of 14 for her to find her passion for dance. As her love for dance grew so did her relationship with Christ though her dance team’s youth group at The Fellowship at Plum Creek. She danced through high school with the home school group SMACK Panthers performing drill and competitive dance. After high school Alexie attended Austin Community College for 3 years where she learned modern dance and Improvisation. ACC opened many doors for her to perform. Through ACC she was able to attend and perform a solo at ACDA, dance in a piece with Blue Lapis Lights, and a piece with Ellen Bartle’s Dance Collective. God also blessed her with the opportunity to teach dance for four years through a local homeschool group. She is currently attending Texas State University pursuing a major in dance with a teacher’s certificate. Alexie believes that God has called her to teach dance as a way of showing Christs unconditional love to dancers of all ages. She Joined Psalm 149 in the spring of 2018 with the hope that she can continue using dance as a form of worship with this company.

Nico is a newer addition to the Psalm149 Dance Ministry team but a long-time admirer. Having co-founded a partner ministry Overflow, Nico has been collaborating with Psalm149 from nursing home outreach to writing original songs for the annual shows since the early years of its founding. After witnessing the overwhelming passion and vulnerability that Psalm 149 brings to worship, Nico was left inspired to experience God through worship dance. Nico is a Youth Minister with a BS in Worship Studies from Liberty University currently serving at River of Life Christian Fellowship where he is excited to share God’s love.
“I cannot express my excitement to be worshipping alongside these amazing and anointed dancers at Psalm149 and pursuing God in this way.”

Kate Ragan was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, but moved with her family to Texas in 2006. Holding a B.A. in Theatre Arts from The University of the Incarnate Word, Kate has always been very involved in the arts: from performing in children’s productions in the St. Louis community, at church, recitals and participating in choir to more recently performing in and choreographing productions in the San Antonio theatre community. She has been dancing for going on 20 years now, but is thrilled to be joining her first, professional dance company (after her good friend and former schoolmate Angie had lovingly twisted Kate’s arm for several years). Always trying to live by the mantra she was taught college (Bless, not Impress), Kate prays that God guides and uses her to bless His children through dance and shine with the light of the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:37.

Hi my name is Jazzmin Coons, I am twenty years old. I go to Austin Community College where I am a psychology major. I grew up in a catholic home where I was surrounded with love and faith. My faith led me to YGC back in 2017 and I have continued in Psalm 149 for the last few years. This company has brought me so much joy and helped me strengthen my relationship with God.

I am twenty-two years old and am expecting to graduate in May 2021 from Texas Lutheran University with a degree in nursing. This is my fifth year with Psalm149 Ministries and I have been involved since the company's first year, starting out in our YGC program as a young dancer. From this company I have made many friends and our rehearsals feel comfortable and playful, it is much different than other companies because we are faith-based, and because of that we are a family.
Through this company I have learned a lot about myself and who I am evolving to be as a young woman, bringing me deeper into my relationship with Christ and my loved ones. Since giving my testimony at last year's show, May 2020, I have learned the importance of incorporating God into my relationships. I have been developing my own personal relationship with God by learning how to talk with him comfortably and by becoming more reliant on him. I would encourage others to write their own testimony, even if you don't plan to share it or if you don't think it's worth writing. I didn't believe that I had a story worth sharing at first, but then I learned much more about myself in the process of reflection. As we adventure into this next year of the company I look forward to continuing to be part of the worship and art we create, and I will continue to dance with passion and to worship.

Sandra Marquez was born and raised in Odessa, Texas, in a Christ centered household. She has had a love for dance for as long as she can remember. Sandra started taking dance classes in eighth grade and joined the Panther Paw dance team at her high school. After graduation Sandra went to college because she felt like it was something she was supposed to do but felt lost in the beginning of her college journey. After three years of major changes and lots of prayer, God answered. Sandra is now a Junior at Texas State University pursuing a career in dance. She is also getting certified to teach yoga, and couldn’t be a more proud member of Psalm 149. Sandra enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and connecting with others. Dance allows her to do just that and she can’t be more excited for what the future holds!
